Here is Kostas being silly in the Greek School class on Monday:
Tuesday was Election Day. To family and friends overseas: We know how you feel about Bush and just want to assure you we did not vote for him...Unfortunately, a lot more voters did not share our feelings, so we will all have to bear it for the next four years. May we add that we voted for the other guy holding up our nose, it was truly a decision of the lesser of the two evils.
Here is a pic of people voting in their booths:
Dad feeding his ballot in the electronic machine with Kostas watching:
After voting, Dad took Kostas to EMU's Convocation Center to watch the first public practice of the men's basketball team. They looked very good and we look forward to a great season.
On Wednesday, Dad took Kostas to see Dr. Toder for a follow up visit. Everything is normal, chest x ray looks very clear now. Here is Kostas at Dr. Toder's office:
Barb down the street had a tooth problem, so we took Sophia to Humpty Dumpty on Wednesday.
On Friday Dad picked up both kids early and took them to the Ann Arbor Chuckee Cheese store where we all had pizza and let the kids enjoy all the games. Here is Kostas attacking a pizza slice:
and Mommy and kids posing for y' all:
On Saturday Dad took Kostas to Detroit to Ford Field, the home of the Detroit Lions football team. Eastern Michigan's football team played Central Michigan there for the first time.
Here is a couple of pics outside the Detroit Tigers' Comerica Park baseball stadium (which is right next to Ford Field)
This is Ford Field from the outside:
A nice shot of Kostas in this beautiful stadium:
Before the game, band and cheerleaders on the field:
A pic during the game:
The game was a CLASSIC. It went into overtime and then, second, then third and finally FOURTH overtime with Eastern coming on top 61-58 (more like a basketball score). Here is with the Eastern players celebrating, the game finally just ended!
classy move, the players all came and sang the EMU fight song for us fans:
On Sunday, Mom was invited to go to Ford Field to watch the Detroit Lions play the Washington Redskins along with two other Proquest employees, courtesy of Veritas Corporation, a vendor of Proquest. They watched the game at one of these luxurious suites, with plenty of food/drinks provided to them. Unfortunately, the Lions proceeded to stink up the joing and losing 17-10.
