October 18 - 24, 2004

On Monday our Rotary Club had a meeting off site. This time we held it at Dawn Farms, a facility here in Ypsilanti that treats drug addicts and alcoholics. We had lunch together and some "residents" shared with us their life stories and struggles with addiction. To top it all off, Monday was the fifth anniversary of the loss of Dad's first cousin...all through the meeting Dad felt his presence of him watching us. RIP Giwrgaki

Here is a pic from Kosta's Greek school class:

Dad officiated a district playoff soccer game on Tuesday between Chelsea and Ypsilanti. Good game, Chelsea finally broke down Ypsi's defense in the second half.
No swimming class today due to a swim meet in the pool.
Kostas is doing more sparring practice at TaeKwonDo, here he is showing a move:

On Wednesday Kosta's class went on a field trip to COSI in Toledo, Ohio. They had loads of fun!

On Thursday Dad was informed that for the first time he will officiate a High School Regional Final!!! Wow, Dad is very excited about this, for the MHSAA to assign him to do a regional final it is a great honor! The game will be in Canton on October 30.

Here is a pic of our two little ones (well, Kostas is not so little anymore!):

Friday was mom's birthday, her "sixth anniversary of her 30th birthday":-)
Mom took the day off work and spent it with her girlfriends and shopping during the day. We had a very nice dinner.
Here is a pic of Sophia with all the other Humpty Dumpty kids. Sophia is returning to Barb on Monday and will again return to Humpty Dumpty in January.

On Saturday Kostas and his Thunder team totally dominated the other team in their soccer game 13-2 (actually we lost count of how many goals were scored, it was a completely one sided game).
After Kumon, Kostas was taken to Diane's house for Joey's birthday. Joey's dad took all the boys to Wiards Orchards and into the Haunted Barn. Kostas says that he was not scared, only Jackson (the oldest of the boys!) got so scared that he ran out!
Mom and Sophia then joined Dad at the local Panera Bread where Dad was working [Panera Bread stores have FREE wi-fi Internet access and free coffee refills!!]. Sophia had a great time sleeping in the car seat on the floor:

and then, after she woke up, proceeeded to throw up about a whole bottle of chocolate milk...anyway, she threw up again in the car and at home again...must have been something she ate, stomach virus or flu, who knows, she was fine on Sunday as you can see her here jumping up and down and showing off how sexy she is:

On Sunday Mom went with Kostas to Chinese School since it was her turn to assist the teacher.
