September 20 - 26, 2004

Monday was Kosta's first day of Greek school at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Ann Arbor. The teacher is Mrs. Ioanna Ioannou and has a lot of experience. It is first grade and it is designed for kids who have no experience in the Greek language. Kostas was a little apprehensive and shy at first like most kids but by the end of class he seemed to enjoy it. Classes are every Monday from 4.30 to 6 pm. Here are two pics from the class:

On Tuesday of this week there was an accident at the corner of Hewitt and our street Valley Dr. A van hit a car which ended up vertical in the middle of the street; thankfully, everyone was fine. I managed to take a shot of the accident five minutes after it happened with police and ambulance on their way:

Saturday was the first game of the Fall Soccer League. Kostas was "traded" to the Thunder team from the Wildcats since they were short of players. His teammates are mostly the same from the Spring Soccer League. It was a very tough match against the Wildcats with the Thunder winning 6-5 and Kostas scoring two goals. Here is two pics from the game, in the second one Kostas (in purple jersey) is about to pull off a Ronaldo move:

We went to the EMU football game on Saturday evening. EMU lost to Eastern Illinois 31-28. It was NASCAR night, here is KOstas with the car of some dude named Allison:

and here is Kostas having a great time at the Swoop Zone:

and here is a shot of the field in halftime, it was band night:

Sunday night we had some three Malaysian college students come down from Midland for dinner to celebrate Moon Cake Festival, here is a shot of them along with Simon and Maggie and May and Tessa along with mom and our angels Kostas and sexy Sophia:
