December 16 -31, 2006 Christmas holidays, etc
Note: Most pics in this post are from the cell phone since our digital camera's battery is having a mind of its own lately and dies even after we charge her all night long!
On December 16 Kosta's soccer team had a gathering at the Canton ZapZone to celebrate the summer/fall undefeated season.

This is inside the ZapZone play space where two teams blast each other with lazer guns, kids just love it!

Kostas gets his trophy:

and shows it off:

The next day Sunday December 17 was the final game of the indoor season. Our team was 4-3 going into the final game playing a team we beat rather easily the first time. It started out great with the Dragons going up 3-0 in the first 10 minutes....After that, it was complete surrender and total collapse! We lost the game 7-3 and our kids played their worst game...it was one of those days where everything just turned out wrong, it happens. Finished the season 4-4, very respectable for the first indoor season!

More trophies:

Dad and Kostas started not feeling good around December 17th....We decided to take Kostas to see Dr. Walters on December 20th who prescribed a breathing treatment and an antibiotic. Kosta's coughing sounded exactly like the old days where this used to happen very frequently...it is remarkable that Dr. Walters had not seen him for something like this for over two years!

Is this Rip Hamilton with the mask?

They had a music presentation at Kosta's school, it was fantastic:

Hanging out at Kosta's school:

Somewhere around December 22 Dad went to see his doctor who, as usual, says to give it time and drink plenty of liquids...Dad's coughing at this point was pretty bad...to be continued.
It was time for Fluffy's annual checkup and shots:

Ouch:

We spend December 22 at the Ypsilanti Marriott at Eagle Crest, courtesy of Simon's vouchers who could not use by December 31 (him and Maggie are in Taiwan).
Entertaining guests at the lobby:-)

Christmas Eve was at Tee's house, Dad could not move!

We did gift exchange at Mick's on December 30th. Ruth and Christal convinced Dad to go to the emergency room since the coughing just got realy bad that day. So, while mommy and the kids went to the gathering at Charlene's house, Dad spent quality time at the UofM emergency and was diagnosed with pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics.

On New Year's eve we were invited to Tee's house but with Dad and Kostas still coughing and not 100% we decided to just hang out at home and greet the new year here.
So, to all, we wish you HAPPY NEW YEAR!
and please wish the boys of this family to get well!
