October 6 - 22, 2006

Sophia at Kostas's class:

and playing with Alexandra's guinea pig pet, his name is Baklava:

Kosta's Dragons team is on a tear!
They won:
at Manchester 12-3 Oct.7
vs Manchester 7-1 Oct 13
at Bedford 8-3 Oct. 15
vs Tecumseh1 3-1 Oct 21
They are now 9-0 and champions of the league for the first time, hooray!
It's a good and talented group of kids and we will try to keep them playing together in indoor soccer at the Ann Arbor Wide World of Sports complex, games are every Sunday and we are awaiting confirmation of the times and hoping it does not conflict with Chinese school 10.30 to 12.30.
The pic below is of the kids' getting checked in at the game at Bedford:

Every Monday Sophia goes to ballet class and she loves it:

Mommy's 28th (cough) birthday was October 22 and we had just a small family gathering:

Sophia at EMU's Children Institute pancake dinner fundraiser:

After dim sum on Sunday October 22 we got mommy a nice dining table and then we swiftly proceeded to eat dinner on it:-)

We also went back to LaShish to celebrate Bill's promotion at ProQuest with his wife Vanessa along with Andrea and Paul.

Both kids had their flu shots on October 21. We were concerned there may be lots of crying. We were fortunate to have Sophia go first and the nurse was so good and distracted her enough that she did not cry at all, that is shocking! Then it was easy to tell Kosta "hey your 4 year old sister did not cry at all, you better not, take it like a man"....and he did not cry either (but deep down he probably wanted to).
