September 5 - 17, 2006

September 6 was the first day of school for Kostas. He is in 4th grade now at Mr. Morrison's class. Only four former classmates are in the same class with him. Rex is still there but not Sean and Caleb:-( Mia is also in his class along with Kyle who used to be classmates with at Perry but had split up in 3rd grade last year.

September 8 was Sophia's 4 year old physical. It was her lucky day, no shots.
Here with nurse:

putting on a show as always:

with Dr. Walters:

this is fun!

Sophia is very healthy. Her development is going along fine as weight goes at 50% percentile but height she is not growing...she is only at 25% percentile and Dr. Walters told us "She is not going to be 5.8!"...She has mommy's petite genes!

Kostas has been practicing every Tuesday and Thursday with his Dragons soccer team. Saturday September 9 was the first game vs Tecumseh's No. 2 team. They were no match for the Dragons who won easily 10-4. Kostas played well but no goals. He is becoming a passer big time, his first instict is to pass the ball and advance it. Dad tells him when you are near their goalie take a shot at him! We put in some extra practice shooting next week.
The game was officiated by an old colleague ref Don Ring...he is still at it after too many years!

end of game, snack time

On Sundays Kostas goes to Chinese class, here they have an exercise outdoors

Dad Sophia going to check Kosta at soccer practice

Kostas was invited to be a ball boy at the EMU-Illinois State soccer game, here he is:

I am a ball boy, my job is to get the ball when it goes out and give it back to the players. I repeat: I am a ball boy.....and chicks dig me?

On Sunday September 17 we drove to Tecumseh and played their No. 1 team. Again, they were no match, we won very easily 8-3. Kostas scored one nice goal near the end and again played very well with passing becoming his specialty.

goofing around with his teammates after the game
