March 16 - 31, 2007
Kostas practiced several times his dance and poem/song for the March 25th celebration at his Greek School.
Opa!
Coach Tim is taking Kosta's pic for the Spring outdoor season coming up, we are moving up to the much much tougher Great Lakes league...hey, you learn best when you play the best!
March 25, the Greek 4th of July. Kostas is dressed in a traditional Greek costume. I made sure that we did not get him a skirt this time:-)
Papadopoulos family, full of freedom spirit:-)
Kosta's classmates doing their song:
Everyone!
Time go get down for some dancing!
Another game at High Velocity
The kids went wild at our house on March 31
We still have not received an answer about the house we have an accepted offer on. The seller's bank is taking its time to respond and we will force a decision on their part in the first week of April.
Kosta's soccer game on March 17 was a win 8-3, halftime was 3-3. Kostas scored two goals. March 24 another game, did not write down the score. And on March 31 we beat the Canton team and took revenge for the only loss we have this indoor season.
We went to the EMU International night at the new Student Center building. Too bad we forgot the camera. We had a great time.
We had another parent teacher conference with Kosta's teacher Mr. Morrison. His outstanding report card is full of A (outstanding) and + (above expectations) marks. He even showed improvement in Music this term with all other marks already at the highest levels. The MEAP scores were good but certainly room for improvement exists. He well exceeded expectations in Math and barely exceeded expectations in Reading. But lots of improvement is needed in writing as we expected and this is the reason he is tutored by Ginny Birringer down the street once a week.
We are back to ice skating on Thursdays again.
Grandpa in Greece had a health "incident" which required several days hospitalization.
Simon's transfer to New York is on June 1 officially.
Kostas and all Greek school kids singing the Greek National Anthem....OLE, err, I mean Zitw!
Kostas and his classmates singing a song about the Greek flag:
