April 4 - 10, 2005

On Tuesday Dad took the kids to clean up the Riverside Park. This is a park that our Rotary Club has adopted to keep clean. We had lots of fun picking up the trash and it was a such a beautiful spring day...It looks like spring is almost here!

Since the kids helped Dad so well they were rewarded with ice cream at the local Dairy Queen:

Dad filled up the Camry on Wednesday for a record amount of $40. Ouch, it hurts...Well, at least we are spreading democracy and freedom in Iraq....

On Wednesday Sophia got to spend some time playing with Aaron, Don and Tracy's son next door...They are a month apart and she really likes playing with him...she did not want to come home, she kept crying "My Aaron, My Aaron".
For dinner that same night we had some spicy chicken. We warned Sophia not to have that chicken...but, as usual, it went out the other ear. Well, she tasted some and started crying since it was so spicy hot...After she relieved herself with lots of water she walked by the chicken and turned around and told us with her index finger..."NO Chicken, Sophia NO Chicken"!

On Friday we went downtown Ann Arbor again to Tkwu restaurant. Since Kostas did not like it we went across the street to the American Spoon and got him a sandwich, here he is:

This weekend the weather was magical. Dad worked all day but Mom and the kids had fun at Briarwood. Then Jacob spent the night over at our house. Kostas and Jacob stayed up until 12.30 am playing and then got up early at 6.30 am and continued playing! For dinner, Mom cooked some mean curry chicken and a bunch of other dishes and we had over the usual suspects Maggie/Simon and May/Bern and their kids.

Dad made breakfast for everyone, lots of eggs and bacon:

While Kostas was at Chinese school, Dad watched Sophia at our deck. She loves playing in her playhouse, she keeps "cooking" stuff and brings Dad plates "full of food" to try and he has to say "Oh, thank you Sophia, yummy":

Well, the weather was so good that Dad fired up the BBQ Grill for the first time this year. On the menu we had some delicious crispy chicken, Greek salad, and even a few baked potatoes for Kostas:

Maggie and Simon were over and they took the pictures above and below:

Perry School is off tomorrow for Teacher Professional Day. Kostas will star as the Apprentice in Dad's job:-)
