March 16 - 30, 2008

Another game at Wixom's Total Soccer facility for the Dragons, another easy win 6-1 on March 16. See pics below.

Dad contested our new home's Assessment Valuation by the City of Ann Arbor on March 18. We received the letter and we won! Managed to reduce our annual property tax bill by almost $2,000!!! This was surprisingly easy to do.

Another game at Wixom and another Dragons win 7-2 on March 19. And another blowout 12-1 on March 22.

Mom and Dad took a couples massage class, which was held at Tappan Middle School's library (Kosta's school next year). It was fun.

We had parent teacher conferences on March 26. Mrs. Stoulton had a super grade report for Sophia, who just improved incredibly in the second semester. Finally all the Kumon extra work paid off, she has become a super reader. She has mostly + marks (exceeding expectations) and some v marks (at expected level)...It was completely reversed from the first semester! She only has one "Progressing toward expected level" mark for Writing's "uses spaces between words" and Work Habits & Classroom Habits "Organizes materials" (which is an improvement from "Below expected level"!) And she has not missed a single day of school yet, perfect attendance! Her progress is amazing...and we are thinking about starting her college fund back up, LOL.

The grade report of Kostas is a different story. We are not used to being dissapointed by him in school, he has always been a super student. But he regressed from the second to the third semester. His A became a B+ in Reading, his A became a B+ in Science, and his A became a A- in Art. The rest pretty much stayed the same (most at "above expectations"). We decided to take his laptop away until he gets all As. For the beginning, it was very tough adjusting to not playing all these online and computer games...Now, he is doing just fine. His teacher is tough and that is why we like her so much:-)

Kostas needs braces in his teeth. We visited the orthodontist once and we go back to be told the whole story soon. Looks like he will get them in early August and may have them on for two years!

Another game at Wixom on March 30, another easy win 8-2 with Kostas scoring 2 goals.
