December 15 - 31, 2007

These past two weeks were filled with settling into the new house and the holidays.

The weekend of the 15th started with the first big snowstorm of this winter with over 10 inches of snow falling while Dad was away on a short business trip to Florida.

On the 17th we went to the annual Rotary Club Holiday party, thanks to Jim N. for hosting it.

We had a waterline installed in our LG refrigerator on the 18th finally.

On the 21st we attended a party of the boss of mom in Howell. This was the official day of school closing and our kids will be home until January 7th!!

Mom decided to sign up both kids for tap dance lesssons.

Santa came:

Still no furniture, it's coming, we kind of like it all empty like this:-)

Mom stayed home during the holidays and finished unpacking the boxes and putting some order in the new house while Dad was busy with client year end work.

We had a gathering in our house...we gave up on having the first one after the furniture arrived...But we did receive the blinds on New Year's Eve!

kids were of course in a different time zone with games:

We also brought our cat Fluffy in the new house on New Year's Eve and he is having a great curious time exploring it.

We had a magical countdown as we turned off all inside lights, turned on the outside light and watching the heavy snow come down while a neighbor across from us put on a magnificent fireworks show...It was one of those moments that Mastercard truly can never ever buy:-)
Next morning we had to dig out of at least 8 inches of snow....weather forecasters predict lots of sledding coming up.
Happy New Year to everyone and foremost lots of health....simply because without health we got nothing!
