May 30 - June 5, 2005

Monday was Memorial Day, a holiday here. Dad took the kids biking in the morning with the usual route going through EMU campus, stopping at MCDs for ice cream and then going through the woods by the stadiums and then back home.

This weekend in downtown Detroit there was the electronic music festival as the past five years. Great music as always and very interesting looking people (let's just hope our kids do not resemble most of them!).

Play at Perry with all the Literacy Academy kids, horrible pic quality but at least you get the idea of what happened:

On Saturday we went to a Canton park with Hussien, Gerda, Celine & Chloe. Late at night Dad could not resist but do another three slabs of spare ribs while watching the Detroit Pistons demolish the Miami Heat and force a game 7 on Monday.

On Sunday we had the usual suspects over...it was the hottest day of the year so far and kids just played outside, including swimming at a pool our next door neighbors Don and Tracy set up.

We got the tickets for Schlitterbahn water park in Texas, me and Kostas are leaving on Thursday, we can't wait!!
