The weather was really crazy all week. Started off with some snow on Monday, more snow on Tuesday, turned really mild and warm weather on Wednesday and then got freezing rain on Thursday with lots of rain on Friday and brutal cold starting Friday evening and lasting through the weekend. This is the time of the year when Michiganians start to fantasize about warm and sunny beaches way south of where we are!
Tuesday, to our suprise, got a call very early in the morning. When this happens, it is either Grandpa from Greece or the superintendent of the local school district informing us that the schools are closed due to the weather. Unfortunately, it was the latter. Jacob got to spend most of the day with Kostas, he even got to go to the taekwondo session with him (he is between the lady instructtor in black and the little girl with the green yellow belt at the left of Kostas).
Here is Dad at his Toastmasters meeting. In this pic below he is pretending to say "Guilty" to that Army dude in Iraq who tortured all the Iraqi prisoners...His lawyers said something in his defense to the effect "heck, cheerleaders do pyramids every day around the country here"...unbelievable!
in this one, who does Dad resemble with that hand expression?...Oh no, wait a minute, Sadam used to do that!!!!
Here is little cutie Sophia about to get driven back home from day care by Dad:
Saturday morning it is weapons practice at taekwondo, here is Kostas showing some nifty moves with those things that if you don't know what you are doing you can really hurt yourself!
Then Dad took Kostas and Jacob to see the movie Sponge Bob in the theatre, needless to say the kids had a great time. Saturday night we had the usual suspects (Bern, May, Simon, Maggie, and later on Rex) over for dinner.
Looking forward to next week, we have Martin Luther King Day on Monday and no school for Kostas on Monday when he gets to visit Sean's house and play with him and their classmate Rex.
So stay tuned for more Papadopoulos family adventures next week!
