Aug 7 2004 - Dim Sum and neighborhood party

The day started with the boys hitting the gym again as they always do on Saturday mornings. Kostas tried the weapons class for the first time and he likes it.

We then drove to Southfield to the Shangri Las chinese restaurant. Simon and Meggie joined us, along with Bern and May's family. We celebrated Sophia's and Simon's birthday (the actual date is August 10). Excuse the quality of the pic. Dad is using his phone camera from now on and the quality of it is not up to par with the other Sony digital camera we have, especially indoors.



Lee and the kids then visited Simon's new apartment at Huron River Drive Apts. It is the same apartment complex Dad lived in for two years in graduate school with Socrates, Sharhadad and Omid...We had some great times there, it seems like yesterday!

We then gathered at Wade and Emily's house for a neighborhood pot luck party. Don and Tracy with little Aaron, Dave and Michelle from across the street, Kurt and Meghan with Julia and their six week old baby daughter, Brian and Maida with their four week old baby and May and Bern and their kids. There was plenty of food and drinks. The kids had a great time playing in the new playland structure Wade just built. We also got an ice cream cake for Sophia and sang to her happy birthday. Dad had some wine and it was good that we only had to walk home:-)
